One died for All

By 2 am on the 30th of May man will have had human spaceflight become a reality of private enterprise. With SpaceX’s launch making a lot of geeks excited about the shiny new dragon capsule and the completely autonomous journey with touchscreen control panels bordering on sci-fi fantasy, I got pulled back and wondered whether I had been as excited for Christ lately. The truth was that I was lacking. And many of us tend to lose that salt.
In reading 1 Corinthians 5 it struck me as to how much one act, the work of a lifetime can bring about such a change that is as powerful as cutting bone from marrow. Such is the passion in Paul's writing.
14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that One died for all, therefore all died. 15 And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and was raised again.
16 So from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Although we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!
At the end of the day humanity would certainly benefit in the privatization of the space industry, but on the other humanity just bumped against Christ for a little bit. Took a bit of golden rules here and there but has not yet fully realized the electrifying power of Christ! Let's be excited about ministry and ask God to rekindle a flame far stronger than a Merlin engine ever could. :)
