Finally Someone who gets it

How wonderful it is for us when we find someone we can relate to, someone who shares our same likes and dislikes, someone who struggles through some similar issue that we also face and we feel like "finally I found someone who understands me!", this would be someone we can speak to for hours on end and still want to speak to even more. And isn't the converse of this also true? How we feel more distant, annoyed or even hateful towards someone who just doesn't get it? How often have we acted defiant towards our own parents for example simply due to the fact that we think "you wouldn't get it! You don't know what I am going through!"

Well as I was reading through Hebrews and came across chapter 3 verses 15 and 16, I was reminded about how our God, this all powerful and magestic being became human through Jesus and through this also inherited all the weakness a human has, and was tempted in every way, just as we are, but!! He did not sin. And due to this we can approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

This simply reminded me of the fact that Jesus is not someone who doesn't know what we are going through and can't relate, but rather knows exactly what are going through because he also went through something similar. So just like we would spend hours on end talking to that person who we relate to, I urge you to also spend time with God because he is someone who simply "Gets it".
